When concrete piles of very large diameter or great depth are required, it is often more economical to excavate the pile using a pile grab which is hanging and operated by a crawler crane. To drive the casing and to extract it after concreting a hydraulic casing oscillator is required which is mounted in front of the crawler crane.
If the crane has sufficient power, it can also operate the oscillator, otherwise a separate power pack is required.
